In antiquity, the mandrake root was much-sought for its supposed powers. The root's humanlike form inspired many superstitions; the plant was supposed to scream when wrenched from the ground, and anyone who heard it would perish.

Hard enamel, black nickel, approximately 2.5" tall. Double posted. Limited edition of 27.
