Bin Laden Dead; American networks show the world rejoice,… my stomach churns.

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

I can not celebrate death. I instantly remember learning of the sanctions placed on the middle east leading up to the Sept 11 attacks, I remember the witch hunt and fervent anti islamic, Iraqi, Afghan, and middle eastern hatred, I remember that we lost 47,000 Americans, and they, over a million dead citizens and civilian combatants on the other-side, forgive me if I refuse to use the pejorative term “terrorist”, which I feel has become synonymous with fighting without a billion dollars, corporations, and the media behind you.

What is more terrifying, an entire multi-trillion dollar army, or isolated militia’s; one side fueled by tax dollars, the media, and major corporations, the other a rag tag militia, of the people?

Sure, I guess a bomb could go off in any trash can or bus stop, and that is unsettling, but how is it that what we are doing, what with over a million dead on the other-side, is not to be considered terrorism, it is at the very least terrifying.

Fox news reported moments after that “the worlds number one terror master” was killed, then they repeatedly misused Obama for Osama,….this is the time we live in, the manufacturing of consent has spread to a level that sane people are “wooooooing” and “USA!ng” out in front of the white house, times square, ground zero, and I am sure many other places over the death of a single man; as if this was just some rouge desert warrior and not a mercenary trained directly by the United States to kill the Russians, yet the blame, in any real sense, will not fall where it belongs, for many, many years, until some memo “leaks” ; but by then we will be so whipped up into a frothing and fomenting nationalism, that, it just won’t matter,… there will always be more brown skinned natives sitting on resources which we can prod into attacking us, then slaughter wantonly for those resources and further public acceptance,…
